The New World

Imagine my surprise when I went down to the basement and saw TWO pups "Red" and "Fur" outside of the box, embarked on their first voyage of discovery! Over the last few days, some of them have been more and more curious about the world outside. So, they climbed up on the edge of the box, and, no doubt, stumbled over into the new world. I'm glad I found them...sooner rather than later.

My response to this situation? I bought an X-pen from a neighbor who offered it for sale. X-pen...exercise pen. This one is comprised of eight two foot long metal sections, and 48 inches high. It has a door. I've set it up outside the box, so when they climb up on the edge and stumble out again--and you know they will--they won't get very far. The X-pen's door has a bit of a step, so hopefully, they won't get out of there.

What else? Let's see. Until yesterday, the pups did not pee or poop. At least, that's how it appeared to me. Deca has done an excellent job in cleaning the pups and maintaining a nearly spotless box for her pups. However, yesterday, at 4:30 pm, there was poop. I thought you would like to know!
